Sound Healing

It brings me great joy to offer donation-based sound healing sessions every month. The sessions are held at Balanced Hot Yoga (1669 Willamette). My Reiki is on throughout the session, so all participants are bathed in love, light and healing energy throughout the experience.

These offerings are by donation; I encourage you to donate what is in alignment with your abundance.

Secure your spot in advance by reserving on Meetup.com or Mindbody.

I also offer private sound healing sessions for individuals or groups. Reach out directly to inquire about booking a private sound healing session. Pricing depends on location and number of attendees. Private sessions require upfront payment to book and have a 100% cancellation policy if cancelled/rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice, and 50% if cancelled 24-48 hours prior.

For the Event:

Arrive up to 20 minutes early to make yourself comfortable. We have some props available to support your comfort and they are on a first-come basis. You’re welcome to bring your own mat, pillow or blankets to make yourself cozy. You can sit or lie down on our soft (cork) floor. We have chairs available if you prefer to sit off the floor. Some eye masks are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own. Yoga mats are good to have, but are not necessary or provided.

Please arrive to get settled before the session start time, and silence cell phones for the experience.

Let me know when you get to the studio if you have any sensitivities to burning Palo Santo or sage.

Lastly, the studio is a hot yoga studio but will not be heated for the event. Wearing layers can be helpful to manage fluctuating temperature.

What is Sound Healing?

Sound healing is the practice of using various sounds to affect non-physical layers of the body (energetic, emotional, mental) and the physical form itself (through waves of different vibrations travelling through your body). Participants sit or lie for the experience, while I walk around the room playing various sounds, guided by intuition.

A sound healing experience can have varied effects, from one person to the next, and from one experience to the next.

It can be a very relaxing experience, giving your body and mind a chance to relax and digest your life experiences. Sometimes it creates enough space in the mind to allow new insights or understandings to bubble up.

It can also “shake things loose”, and bring to mind old things that may be long forgotten but not fully processed. It’s an opportunity to be curious about what comes up, and let go of what no longer serves you. Honor its lesson, and let it go. If there is further processing required, I encourage you to give it the time it needs.

Your body could have a reaction to the sounds, like gentle shaking or vibrating. I encourage you to allow such movements, being mindful of the people around you.

You could fall asleep, still receiving all of the benefits of the sounds with a bonus nap!

I love to hear about your experience after it ends, it’s always incredible to see all the beautiful ways sound affects people.
